Locations & Services
Building a brighter future for Wetaskiwin’s most vulnerable men, women, youth, and children.
Hope Mission has been at work in Wetaskiwin for many years, enriching the lives of children and youth through after-school programs, school lunch and breakfast programs, as well as horse programs that provide a safe, fun, and nurturing environment for students to grow and thrive.
During the summer, children attend camp at Bethany Homes, where they ride horses, play games, and learn Bible stories. In spring and fall, at-risk kids and youth return to develop horsemanship skills.
"At Hope Mission in Wetaskiwin, the staff had helped me, cared for me, guided me, fed me and that is when I started my journey to recovery."

Bethany Homes
Located 14km east of Wetaskiwin, Bethany Homes is situated on 140 beautiful acres. Bethany Homes is a Hope Mission ministry offering opportunities for gardening. Making this program available to local schools and groups, we hope to partner with our community in delivering a support service for vulnerable children and youth.
Horses of Hope at Bethany Homes exists to develop character in the lives of youth in the Wetaskiwin and Edmonton area. Hope Mission desires to not only offer youth a safe environment to improve their horsemanship skills but also to build character and learn a foundation of faith. As these young people expand their thinking in regard to themselves, others, and God, they will be equipped with the tools to positively contribute to their families and their community.

Camp
For 7 weeks in the summer, we have 24 campers come to Bethany Homes where they learn to ride horses, play field games, go on hikes, do gardening, learn Bible stories and much more.
In all our programs our staff seek to love and care for each student for who they are and what they are going through in life. Our desire is that the love of Jesus, experienced through our staff and environments, will affect each student and family by instilling hope and purpose for each life.
