    Summer Camp Program Coordinator

    Based at: Brightwood Ranch

    Reports to: Camp Director

    Status: Full-time permanent – year-round

    Responsible for: Year-round planning, development, and the seasonal daily operations of Brightwood Ranch Summer Camp programming

    Job Summary:

    As Summer Camp Program Manager, supports the planning, development, and delivery of engaging, mission-aligned camp programs for at-risk and vulnerable children and youth. This role ensures that all summer and off-season programs run safely, smoothly, and with excellence. The position is active year-round, combining program design and leadership during the summer with administrative, training, and recruitment/networking in the off-season.

    Outreach Worker

    Job Summary:

    As an Outreach Worker, you will work with the outreach team to run after school programs in Calgary in alignment with the Vision, Mission, Core Values, and Statement of Faith of Hope Mission. You will support with activity preparation, hosting and interacting with students, and a variety of other tasks to serve, strengthen, and uplift children and families.

      Horses of Hope Wrangler

      Reports to: Horse Team Supervisor

      Hours of work: 40h/week, Weekdays (some evening and weekend work required)

      Job Summary:

      Support a team to develop character and promote healthy choices in children and youth (ages 5-18) through the horse program. Provide support to at risk children and youth in the Wetaskiwin & Camrose area. To fulfill the vision and purpose of the various horse programs and events that happen at Bethany Homes throughout the year. To provide care and support to a small team of staff. Alongside this team you will promote and provide proper health to the herd of horses. To support and aid other Hope Mission programs as needed.

      Program Supervisor

      Reports to: Program Manager

      Hours of work: 40h/week, Tuesday to Saturday

      Position duration: Year-round 

      Job Summary:

      Leading a small team of staff and volunteers to offer support programs to local children, youth and families. Program leading requires continuing current programs we offer, and also creative and informed development of additional programs to grow relationships and supports for families. The role will require the ability to create and maintain a healthy work environment for staff and develop and coordinate volunteers. Our programing uses Bible-based teaching in creative and age-appropriate ways; therefore, part of the supervisor role will be to develop and communicate these tools to aid children, youth and families in healthy living and personal growth.

        Kitchen Lead

        Reports to: School Meal Administrator

        Hours of work: 20h/week, Weekdays, Casual Shifts – 7:30am to 12:00pm

        Position duration: Immediate until the end of June 2026

        Job Summary:

        Lead the functioning of a school meal program that provides support for hundreds of families in the Camrose area. Responsible for the safe and efficient operation of kitchen related duties within the kitchen of Century Meadows Baptist Church, which operates under Hope Mission. The work entails preparing sandwiches, organizing bins of food, driving and delivering school meals to schools in Camrose and area. The role also requires coordinating the small team of daily volunteers.

        Maintenance Worker

        Location: Hope Mission Shelters, Edmonton AB

        Hours of Work: Full-time/part-time (as applicable)

        Job Summary:

        Hope Mission is seeking a skilled and dependable Maintenance Worker to support the safe, clean, and functional operation of our various facilities in Edmonton. The Maintenance Worker will perform a wide variety of building maintenance, repair, and groundskeeping tasks. This role requires hands-on experience in multiple trades, a valid driver’s license, and a heart for serving vulnerable populations in a compassionate, respectful, and professional manner.

          Guest Service Attendant

          Based at: Red Deer, AB

          Reports to: Shelters Supervisor

          Hours of work: 12-hour shifts

          Job Summary:

          The Guest Service Attendant will work directly with community members experiencing homelessness in Red Deer, helping to provide them with emergency shelter and support services.  The critical tasks of this position are to create a warm, welcoming and supportive atmosphere, develop relationships, and ensure that safety is maintained.   

          Family Support Worker

          Based at: Hope Mission Red Deer – Prevention Team (#140 6660 Taylor Drive, Red Deer)

          Hours of Work: 1-year contract. Full Time 40hrs/week, 9am to 5pm, Monday-Friday. As we provide programming and services in the after-school hours, all staff must be available to work evenings and Saturdays for special events as needed. 

          Job Summary:

          Hope Mission Red Deer’s Prevention Team provides programs for kids, youth and families in Red Deer and Central Alberta.

          The Family Support Worker will provide supports and services to caregivers of the children and youth we serve to promote and support the health and well-being of families.

          Clients may present with a variety of physical health concerns, mental health concerns, addictions, and social and environmental challenges that influence health and wellbeing. The Family Support Worker (FSW) will utilize Hope Mission services, critical thinking, problem solving, and decision-making skills to provide holistic care to individuals and families. The support worker will work together with clients to achieve their optimal physical, emotional, mental, spiritual health and well-being by assessing, coordinating, administering and evaluating the provision of suitable resources.  This will include case management, outreach, education, and health promotion.

            Medical Office Assistant

            Based at: Herb Jamieson Centre

            Reports to: Senior Manager, Health Services

            Hours of work: Monday – Friday, 8:00am to 4:00pm

            Job Summary:

            Reporting to the Senior Manager of Health Services, the Medical Office Assistant will play a critical role in the effective functioning of the Hope Health Clinic and Shelter. The MOA will work closely with the Nurses, Nurse Practitioners and Medical Doctors, to ensure operations run smoothly, staff have the supplies needed to care for community members, and appointments are made for community members to get the care they need from our partnering providers.

            Shelters Health Care Aide (HCA)

            Based at: Wetaskiwin Shelter

            Reports to: Nursing Clinic Coordinator/Shelters Coordinator

            Hours of work: 12 hours per day – full-time position

            Days of work: 4 days on – including weekends and holidays – 4 days off

            Job Summary:

            To support nursing and shelter staff with the management of ADLs and iADLs of clients within the shelter setting.

            • Assist with showering
            • Assist with grooming and dressing
            • Assist with other hygiene activities
            • Vital signs (must report to nurse)

            • Report health concerns to nursing staff

            Horse Program Instructor

            Based At: Hope Mission Bethany Homes – Wetaskiwin, Alberta, Canada

            Hours Per Shift: 40 hours/week Monday-Friday (some evening & weekend work required)

            Position Duration: Begin in winter of 2026. One year contract with full-time permanent possibilities.

            Job Summary: Support a team to develop character and promote healthy choices in children and youth (ages 5-18) through the horse program. Provide support to at risk children and youth in the Wetaskiwin & Camrose area. To fulfill the vision and purpose of the various horse programs and events that happen at Bethany Homes throughout the year. Provide horsemanship instruction that is safe, fun, creative and competent to groups of riders that function within the established six-year horsemanship structure. To provide care and support to a small team of staff. Alongside this team you will promote and provide proper health to the herd of horses. To support and aid other Hope Mission programs as needed.

            Primary Care Paramedic

            Location: Edmonton, AB

            Hours of work: 4 days on, 4 days off. 2 rotations of days, 2 rotations of nights on an A, B, C, D platoon schedule. 0500-1700 or 1700-0500.

            Role Objective: To provide immediate emergency response and rapid assessment for clients within and immediately surrounding the shelter setting.

            Required Qualifications:

            • Completion of an accredited PCP program. 
            • Current licensure with Alberta regulatory body (ACP or equivalent)
            • Current individual professional liability insurance (as per ACP license)
            • Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification
            • Sign and adhere to the Hope Mission Statement of Faith

            Program Coordinator

            Location: Calgary

            Hours of work: 40 hours/week

            Job Summary:

            The Calgary Program Coordinator will provide leadership to various programs and frontline staff in Calgary in alignment with the Vision, Mission, Core Values, and Statement of Faith of Hope Mission, and direction of the Calgary Program Manager.

            The Calgary Program Coordinator will spend approximately 40% of their time leading and developing programs for the students and families in Calgary and Chestermere. 35% of their role will be committed to training, developing, and discipling the staff under their leadership. The remaining 25% of the role will be focused on building and maintaining connections with schools, churches and other organizations in Chestermere and Strathmore with the goal of growing our outreach programs in these areas.

            Registered Nurse; Licensed Practical Nurse

            Location: Calgary, Alberta

            Job Summary: We are seeking a motivated and dedicated nurse to join the nurse-led clinic within our Calgary based Dayspace. As a nurse, you will play a crucial role in providing high-quality patient care and promoting overall wellness for the vulnerably housed community. Clients present with various physical, psychological, and social health concerns, as well as challenges with addictions. The community health nurse uses their clinical expertise and critical thinking to provide holistic care to clients. The successful candidate will continuously increase their knowledge of and relationship with community resources to guide clients to the appropriate areas to meet their health needs. The nurse will provide leadership and guidance to shelter staff colleagues on methods to promote the health and safety of both staff and clients. The nurse will also be mobile in their care, able to safely provide services within the shelter and the property immediately surrounding it.

            Executive Assistant

            Location: Downtown, Edmonton

            Based at: CarePoint Wellness Centre

            Hours of work: Monday – Friday, 8-hour shifts

            Job Summary:

            We are seeking a motivated and dedicated Christian family physician to join the health clinic within our emergency shelter system. The clinic is currently staffed with a medical director, nurse practitioners, registered nurses, licensed practical nurses, primary care paramedics, emergency response technicians, health care aids, social workers, and administrative staff. The clinic currently focuses on providing episodic and gap care for patients without attachment to a primary care provider. Your role would include support for the clinics to enhance their capacity for diagnosis and management of these patients.  A new program is also being developed to provide more intensive care for patients referred from Emergency Departments who do not meet criteria for hospital admission, but who require more care than can be provided for patients with unstable housing.  As a family physician/general practitioner, you will play a crucial role in providing high-quality patient care and promoting overall wellness for the vulnerably housed community.  For patients transferred from Emergency Departments who require a longer length of stay with medical oversight, you will complete admission assessments, monitor the progress of care and determine when the need for this level of care has been met (i.e. Admission, Progress and Discharge).  In both the clinic and short term stay unit, you would support accurate diagnosis, appropriate treatment and patient education on health-related matters.

            Nurse Practitioner

            Based At: Edmonton, AB

            Hours Per Shift: 8-hour, 10-hour, or 12-hour shifts available, as per provider’s preference

            Job Summary: We are seeking a motivated and dedicated Nurse Practitioner to join the Nursing-based clinic within our emergency shelter system and locations. As a Nurse Practitioner, you will play a crucial role in providing high-quality patient care and promoting overall wellness for the vulnerably housed community. Clients within this setting often have difficulty accessing a primary care provider and you will be able to fill this gap by diagnosing and treating various medical conditions, as well as providing valuable patient education on health management. As an experienced Nurse Practitioner, you will also provide mentorship and guidance to fellow colleagues and health professionals.

            Support Worker

            Location: Calgary

            Hours Per Shift: Casual

            Job Summary: Hope Mission provides care for the vulnerable and the marginalized in Calgary through a number of programs including the Home Mission Rescue Van (HMRV) and the Calgary Wellness Hub. HMRV provides mobile outreach services to vulnerable community members partnering with first responders, businesses and other community stakeholders to provide a more appropriate response to non-emergency crisis situations. The Calgary Wellness Hub supports the community by providing supports that address immediate needs such as food, clothing and hygiene supports, while also providing supports that promote long-term wellness such as housing access facilitation, resource navigation, etc. The Casual Support Worker may support any of these programs.

            Chaplain

            Based At: The Hub, Calgary

            Hours of work: Full time: Monday-Friday, 8 hours per day

            Job Summary: The Chaplain position focuses on providing Christian spiritual care to community members accessing Hope Mission services. The position is flexible and open-ended, but ultimately aims to share the love of Christ with people in need. This can be done by showing love, kindness, and compassion and thereby cultivating hope. This position can also connect people with services and resources to help people exit homelessness and improve their wellbeing.

            This position will also focus on providing cultural awareness training and input into additional staff training concerns to promote wellness and care.
