Red Deer Hope Mission

In Red Deer, Hope Mission is dedicated to serving children, youth, and families through a variety of programs and services located on the north side of the city.
Meals are a core part of our work in Red Deer and in addition to community meals and school lunches and breakfasts to hundreds of kids each week, we also support families through our frozen meal program.
Our kids and youth programs offer fun and enriching environments where children and youth can make crafts, play games, enjoy meals, and learn new skills. We also host a weekly free drop-in program that provides a safe space for students to play, create, and learn about God.
“Just when we thought we didn’t have enough to get by… the Hope Mission showed up.”
During the summer months, we offer local day camps where students can enjoy outdoor activities, learn new games, and explore Bible lessons. The kids we work with also have an opportunity to attend our Camp Hope, providing them with a rustic outdoor experience where they can connect with nature and build lasting friendships.
Hope Mission is committed to transforming lives and bringing hope to those in need. Keep reading to learn more about our Red Deer location and services.

School Meals
Everyone deserves to start their day with a healthy breakfast. Breakfast programs provided for by Hope Mission are hosted in Red Deer schools every morning.
We greet students with a smile, share good food, and develop positive relationships with leaders and school staff before starting their day of learning.
Community Meals
We host Family Dinners for the families registered in our after school programs. We serve meals at Thanksgiving, Christmas and Easter.
We want to provide opportunities for a meal, community, and connection, for these families during these special times of the year.
24/7 Rescue Vans

Our 24/7 Rescue Vans actively provide mobile outreach to unhoused and vulnerable people in our community. Equipped with critical resources such as food and clothing, compassionate staff focus on people in non-emergency crisis situations who need support, care, and access to community resources. These non-judgmental services are inclusive, trauma-informed, and client-centred.
