Squirt Camp

(Ages 6-9)


Squirt Camp is awesome! Running Sunday afternoon to Wednesday afternoon this 3-day camp is a great opportunity to make new friends and is an easy, low-commitment first camp experience. Campers play games, ride horses, make crafts, rock climb, play with animals, build a fire, and learn about God. Enjoy singing, campfires, great food, and epic water fights!

Junior Camp

(Ages 8-10)


Have a blast and meet new friends this summer at our Junior Camps. Activities include: horseback riding, archery, crafts, rock climbing, camping skills development, a petting zoo and a ropes course. Make great memories while learning about God, toasting marshmallows around a campfire, splashing in a water fight or sleeping in a tipi, a tower or a caboose. Bring a friend and stay in the same cabin.

Intermediate Camp

(Ages 10-12)


Great times at Intermediate Camp include: horseback riding, archery, rock climbing, crafts, riflery, group sports, ropes course, wilderness skills, drama, campfires, chapel, tetherball, night games, fab food, great staff, cabin group Bible studies, cookouts, sleeping in a tipi, the tower, or the caboose. Intermediate campers receive extra time to pursue their favorite activities every afternoon.

Tipi Village Camp

(Ages 8-12)


Spend a week braving the outdoors sleeping in a tipi, cooking over a campfire, and enjoying time with a small group of campers. Activities include: archery, ropes course, petting zoo, horseback riding, wilderness skills, crafts, rock climbing, campfires, chapel, night games and group Bible studies. Tipi Village Camp is a less scheduled, more relaxed atmosphere than other camps. Campers have access to showers twice a week. Fabulous food, fun games and great staff!


DAY CAMPS

(Ages 6-13)


These Day Camps are for local kids from the towns and surrounding areas of Wildwood, Evansburg, Entwistle, Seba Beach and Tomahawk. The days will be filled with horseback riding, archery, riflery, crafts, climbing wall, zipline, sports, fire building, games, wagon rides, crafts, free time, hikes, and a short God talk. There is no cost to attend.

Youth Development Programs

Our Youth Development Programs are for teens interested in learning more about God, who are willing to serve and desire to develop leadership skills. Participants sleep in tents, cook over a fire and spend time building meaningful and lasting friendships in a group of 10-14 people. These programs require an application form which can be download below each listed camp.

The Go Team

(Ages 13-15)


The GO Team is a one week program in which campers engage in service projects, camp activities, and enjoying the outdoors. They also have opportunities for personal growth and to learn more about God.

Participants will spend Wednesday tubing down the Pembina River as part of a fun day together.

Graduates from this program may be eligible to come back to camp the following summer and take the LDP or Rhythm . The Go Team lives in their own tent village separate from the main site. Three staff lead this program with 9 youth.

Rhythm

(Ages 14-17)


A two week program that will challenge you and expand your world. Develop new skills in areas such as archery, wall climbing, horseback riding and riflery. Enjoy a 5 day canoe trip on a number of lakes in northern Alberta! An opportunity for growth and understanding; to walk more in Rhythm with God. This is for youth who may not be ready for the requirements and responsibilities of the Leadership Development Program.

Leadership Development

(Ages 15-17)


A four week program where participants receive the skills and training necessary to become a part of our CREW program. As part of the program, participants go on a 4 day canoe trip down the North Saskatchewan River. We expect participants will have a higher degree of maturity. The program comes with more work, higher expectations and requirements to complete than the Rhythm program.


Horse Camp 1

(Ages 13-15)


Learn the skills needed to handle and care for horses. A one week program with a focus on riding, campers will also learn to catch, groom, and tack a horse. Campers will stay “out on the range” sleeping in canvas walled tents, cooking over a fire and having small group Bible studies and sharing stories around the campfire times. Camps are 5 days and are either all girls or co-ed (boys and girls).

Horse Camp 2

(Ages 14-17)


A two week program to learn the skills needed to handle and care for horses. With a focus on riding, campers will also learn to catch, groom, and tack a horse and build upon the skills they have learned in our level 1 program. Campers will stay “out on the range” sleeping in covered wagons, cooking over a fire, having small group Bible studies and sharing stories around the campfire.

Horse Camp 2 program is for those who have attended our level 1 Horse Camp, or who can show us that they have the previous experience required. i.e. 4H, riding lessons or another horse camp.

Wrangler Training

(Ages 15-17)


A four week program where participants receive the skills and training necessary to become a part of our CREW program. The program consists of skill and knowledge development, growth in the Christian faith, mentoring younger kids, helping them care for horses and learning to minister in a camp setting. As part of the program, participants go on a 4 day camping/horseback trip near the Hummingbird Falls.

The Wrangler Training program is for those who have attended our level 2 Horse Camp, or who can show us that they have the previous experience required. i.e. 4H, riding lessons or another horse camp.


The Crew

(Ages 16-17)


The final stage of our Youth Development Programs.

This is for those who have taken our Leadership Development Program or Wrangler Training Program or can show equivalent experience through other camps, CIT or LIT program or volunteer experience. 16 year olds can choose up to 4 weeks and 17 year olds can choose up to 8 weeks, with all participants returning home on the weekends. Participants will be paired up with counselors to work with campers as well as in other areas like the kitchen, maintenance, activity areas, or the barn. Graduates from this program may be eligible to come back the following summer as staff. This program also has an outdoor component to it, with a three day camping trip to Crimson Lake near Rocky Mountain House and a four day hiking/camping trip to Kootenay Plains just west of Nordegg, AB. 10-15 youth participate in the is program and are led by 2 staff.

$25: First child in household
$20: Second child in household
$15: Third child in household
No cost for the 4th child or more in a household.

If you are able to pay more than fees listed above, please send what you can, up to a maximum of $300 per child.

You do not have to pay the full fee all at once. You can send us post-dated cheques to spread out the payment of fees.

We do not want any child to miss out on a camp experience because of financial reasons. It is our policy not to turn anyone away because of finances. All campers will be accepted whether you can pay or not.

YDP & Horse Programs

The minimum fee for a one week program is $25 (GO Team & 1 week at Horse Camp)
The minimum fee for a two week program is $50 (Rhythm & 2 week Horse Camp)
The minimum fee for a four week program is $100 (LDP & WTP).
There is no cost to attend the CREW Program.

If you are able to pay more than fees listed above, please send what you can, up to a maximum of $300 per child.

We realize that having two or three youth can get fairly expensive, even with the minimum fee. You will be asked to just pay what you can afford.

We do not want any youth to miss out on a camp experience because of financial reasons. It is our policy not to turn anyone away because of finances. All campers will be accepted whether you can pay or not.

Financial Assistance

Dear Parents, Although we encourage you to pay the full fees for camp or to pay whatever you can afford, we want to stress that we do not want any child to miss out on camp because of finances. If you cannot afford to pay the fees, fill out the registration form anyway and Hope Mission will gladly take care of the costs for you. GST is included in all camp fees.

Full camp fees are $300 per child. If you are able to pay more than $25, please send what you can up to $300 for each child. Youth Development Programs are a maximum of $300 per program not per week.
