Frequently Asked Questions
What day is the walk?
Every school can pick their own walk day for sometime on the first week of June.
What do we do with cash and cheques?
Package the loose change and cheques together and one of our Hope Mission staff will arrange to pick it up.
Do pledges qualify as charitable donations?
Yes – online donations will be emailed a receipt. If donations are made by cash or cheque, please make sure the information is filled out on the pledge form in order to receive a tax receipt.
Where will students walk?
Find a route on or around the school grounds. As a school you can walk around the neighbourhood, or walk a path around the entire school property (mutiple times if you’d like!). The route is totally up to schools to decide but we recommend a 2km walk.Â
What are teams on Canadahelps?
Each school can create a team on the Canadahelps page. Online donations can then be submitted under that team. Students and teachers can also sign up as participants with that team (but that’s not required).
Who should cheques be made out to?
Make the cheques out to Hope Mission.
