30% of kids in Alberta are facing food insecurity.

Across Alberta, many families struggle to provide enough food, leaving some kids with just 1–2 meals a day and no lunch at school. Hope Mission steps in with school meals and food programs to help families in need. We need your help to make sure no child goes hungry!

We walk for kids like Jaden

We don’t have lots of food and snacks at home because my family’s on a budget. If I’m lucky, we get three meals a day. Hope Mission helps us with free food, and it makes me and my family so happy!

As a single mom, I try my best to give my kids everything they need, but it’s hard to make it all work. Once, I had to choose between paying bills or feeding my family. Hope Mission has been a lifeline for us with food hampers and school meals.

What do we do with cash and cheques?

Package the loose change and cheques together and bring it with you to the walk event along with your pledge form.

Will donations get a tax-receipt?

Yes – online donations will be emailed a receipt. If donations are made by cash or cheque, please make sure the information is filled out on the pledge form in order for the donor to receive a tax receipt.

Where is the walk event?

The walk is at the Hope Mission Hub at 4869 Hubalta Road SE, Calgary. There will be a 2km and 5km route.

What are teams on Canadahelps?

Walkers team up to raise funds together. Online donations can then be submitted under that team to help them reach their goal.
