Work at Brightwood Ranch camps
Brightwood Ranch offers a Christian summer camp experience for kids from single parent, foster and group homes or some kind of guardianship. The camp is situated on 220 acres located one hour west of Edmonton. We operate week long (six days) on-site and canoe out-trip programs for youth ages 6-17. Camp Activities include: horseback riding, archery, skateboarding, climbing wall, riflery, drama, crafts, petting zoo, ropes course, wilderness skills, bible studies, chapels, games and much more.
Summer camp Positions
Staff work seventy hours per week. Camp begins on Sunday at 3:45pm, and ends Friday at 6:00pm. Staff have the option to go away for the weekend or stay at the ranch. All staff are responsible for finding their own transportation to and from the camp. If you are arriving by plane, bus or train we can arrange to pick you up.
2 MONTH PAID STAFF POSITIONS (ages 18 and over)
Main Site Counselors, Tipi Village Counselors, Wranglers, Assistant Cooks, Kitchen Helpers, Dining Hall Hostess.
2 MONTH PAID STAFF POSITIONS (ages 20 and over)
Male and Female Youth Development Program Assistants, Horse Camp Counselors, Male and Female Unit Leader, Nurse/First Aid Attendant.
4 MONTH PAID STAFF POSITIONS (ages 18 and over)
Main Site Program Director, Tipi Village Program Director, Wrangler Training Program Leader, Youth Development Program Leaders, Horse Camp Instructor, Main Site Head Wrangler
2 or 4 MONTH PAID STAFF POSITIONS (ages 18 and over)
Secretary, Maintenance, Horses of Hope Assistant.
VOLUNTEER POSITIONS (room & board provided)
Activity Instructor, Kitchen Helper, Junior Counselor, Senior Counselor, Jr Wranglers, Wranglers
Camp Grandparents, Maintenance.
